Thanks to government regulations it is easier to purchase a new one rather than to make one.The new, harmonized EU regulations say: as long as P*V <= 200 it does not matter in what country the boiler was certified as long as it also has a CE certificate. This opens the door for me to buy one in the UK, which was completely impossible before 2002.Click here to check the letter I got from the dutch Lloyds register, in which they confirm this.Since Glyn Lancaster Jones is the only one offering a suitable boiler inclusive a certificate (on the internet), I traveled to Nort sur Erdre/France in spring 2002, where I met him and saw his boiler on a kind of steam festifal. The choise was easy made:I would buy the bigger Luna Valley boiler with two additional feedwater heaters to withdraw every bit of heat out of the fire before it starts heating atmosfere. |
