Oiling is needed:Crankshaft on 3 bearings (front, middle, after) --> 3 spotseach of the 2 A-frames at both sides of the crosshead --> 4 spotson the excentrics: 4 for the valve control, 2 for the waterpums and 1 for the steam-oil pump.Because the excentrics need much less and are very difficult to oil automatically (they move around all the time..) I decide to make a semi-automatic oiler for the crankshaft bearings and the crosshead bearings, 7 bearings in total.I was inspired by the oiler made by Frenk Fontijn (see his dripoiler).But it had to be modified a little: the screws for regulating the drip-frequency were not optimal, it was more like a on/off regulation.So I made my fine-tuning screws a bit different (see picture), therefore they had to be on top and so I needed an other part to mount the big drip feeders on.Here you see the main housing plus parts before assembly and after.I have not found a nice dripfeeder to mount on top of it so it will take some time before I can finish it.
